01

Configuration item and relationship

A configuration item is a recorded component of the landscape. A relationship connects items and provides context about their association. The meaning of the relationship matters when interpreting it.

02

Provenance and coverage

Provenance describes where information came from. Coverage describes the scope represented by that information. Both help users evaluate what a view can support and where it may be incomplete.

03

Lifecycle and supplier context

Lifecycle context concerns recorded product versions and support information. Supplier context concerns the organizations and business facts associated with supplier records. These perspectives complement the configuration and architecture view.
