Define the business purpose
Identify the supplier information a connected process needs, the source that provides it, and the authorized destination. A clear purpose helps distinguish directory reading, validation, import, and export requirements.
Separate review from transfer
Use the conceptual distinction between validation and import when designing the user journey. A preparation check should not be represented as a completed data transfer, and a transfer should not be represented as supplier research.
Confirm the supported product scope
The Desktop API family described here covers Bifröst supplier exchange with a Heimdall handoff. For other integration requirements, establish the supported interface and product scope before planning an implementation.
